Since 2008, Tabatha Coffey is known as a TV personality. At the young age of 14, Tabatha Coffey started getting involve in the hairdressing business as an assistant in a local salon. During her teenage years, Tabatha Coffey entered a four-year apprenticeship program in hairdressing. Tabatha Coffey later on moved to London to continue her training for the next three years.

In 2007, Tabatha Coffey makes her TV debut as a contestant in the first season of the television show Shear Genius. At the time, Shear Genius was hosted by the time actress Jaclyn Smith. Shear Genius is a reality TV show were contestants compete with each other to create the best hair style.
