Sarah Doukas grew up at her grandmother’s farm in the New Forest. At the young age of 7, Sarah Doukas went to boarding school. Sarah Doukas parents wanted her to get into a conservative profession in medicine or law. Instead, Sarah Doukas flunked her exams and moved to London to become a model. Following her move, her father did not speak to her for 2 years.

In London, Sarah Doukas occupies some modelling assignments. To make ends meet, Sarah Doukas sell antiques in Kings Road. Her loves for antiques lead her to Paris, where she lives for a few years. Sarah Doukas eventually returned to London to manage a punk band. While managing her band, Sarah married an American singer and went to San Francisco with him. In California, she set up a children’s clothing company. After 4 years, the couple returned to London. On the same year, in 1982, Sarah Doukas got a job as a trainee booking agent in a modelling agency. Sarah Doukas was pleased with her new job as she didn’t want to be modelling anymore. Sarah Doukas loves the modelling world, but never felt comfortable being in front of the camera. She worked as a booking agent for 7 years. Following her booking experience in the fashion world, Sarah Doukas decided it was time for her to start her own modelling agency. She resigned from her job before opening her own agency.

However, Sarah Doukas did not have money of her own to start something of her very own. She hired accountants to help her draw up a business plan. She was able to find a backer who would lend her some money. But just before to deal was about to be finalize, she got a call from the brother of a school friend who was interested in her plans. The man was Sir Richard Branson. It happen that Sarah Doukas shared a dorm with Richard’s sister while doing A-level retakes. That’s how in the year of 1987 the Storm Model agency was founded. Sarah Doukas retain 50% of her modelling agency. Sarah obtains from Sir Richard Branson a £250,000 interest-free loan for three years as well as a house in Kensington that she could used as office.

The Storm Model Management had become one of the world’s leading model agencies. Sarah Doukas is the model agent who discovered Kate Moss at JFK airport. That was in 1988. Since that time, Sarah Doukas had turned Kate Moss into an international star. Kate Moss is not the only fashion icon that been represented by Storm. Cindy Crawford, Elle Macpherson, Eva Herzigova, Ines Sastre, Julia Stegner and Alessandra Ambrosio, just to name the few, are models who had been represented by Storm. The Storm Model agency also represents world’s top male models including Alex Beck, Jerome Clark, Ryan Snyder and Andrej Pejic.

Over the years, the Storm Model agency became a family business. Among the 29 employees that count Storm Model agency, we find Sarah Doukas brother’s Simon and her eldest daughter Noelle. At Storm Model agency, Noelle is a booking agent.

In 1997, the Storm Model agency opens a second location in Cape Town, South Africa. In 1998, Sarah Doukas started up an actors’ agency in London. With her knack for spotting future talent, Sarah Doukas had become the world’s most successful agency manager. Afraid of failure, Doukas been able to reach her goal, which was to create an elitist agency that only work with high-end magazines.
