Rebecca Budig, from her birth name Rebecca Jo Budig, is born on June 26, 1973 in Cincinnati, Ohio. In Cincinnati, Rebecca Budig graduated from the School for Creative and Performing Arts. Following a major in zoology from the Miami University in Ohio, Rebecca Budig decided to move to Los Angeles to pursue a career as an actress.

In Los Angeles, Rebecca Budig studied at Howard Fine Acting Studio and the Young Actors Space. The Howard Fine Acting Studio is being recognize as being one of the 10 Best Acting Schools in Los Angeles. The studio offers classes for adults, from beginner through working professional. The Young Actors Space was found in 1979 by actress Diane Hill Hardin and Nora Eckstein. Both had made several appearances in several TV series. Jessica Biel has said that Young Actors Space offers the best classes for young actors. Rebecca Budig had also followed classes with acting coaches Howard Fine and Jay Goldenberg.

From 1995 to 1998, Rebecca Budig played the role of Michelle Bauer in the soap opera Guiding Light. Guiding Light is from the Guinness Book of World Records for being the longest running drama in television, running from 1937 until 2009.

Rebecca Budig is best known for her role on the ABC soap opera All My Children. Created by Agnes Nixon, All My Children is a popular American television soap opera that been broadcasted since 1970. From 1999 to 2005, Rebecca Budig played the character Greenlee Smythe. Rebecca Budig participation in All My children was supposed to be of a few episodes only, but the writers of the show appreciate Rebecca budig work and offer her a first 3 years contract. For her work in All My Children, Rebecca Budig had been nominated for a Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actress in Drama Series in 2001 and 2003.

In 2010, Rebecca Budig was from the first season of Skating with the Stars, an ABC show. Rebecca Budig skate with the professional skater Fred Palascak. Rebecca won the first season of Skating With the Stars.

In January 2010, Rebecca Budig announced that she's engaged to Michael Benson, a television marketing executive.
