Lykke Li, from her full name Li Lykke Timotej Zachrisson is born on March 18, 1986 in Ystad, Skåne. As a musician and songwriter, Lykke Li has a strong artistic background. As heroes, she names Edith Piaf, Joe Strummer and Nina Simone.

Lykke Li mother, Karsti Stiege, is a freelancing photographer and author. Karsti Stiege had did editorial work for numerous magazines about culture, people, travel, food and environment. Kärsti Stiege had performed in the Swedish female punk rock band Tant Strul as song-writer.

The father of Lykke Li, Johan Zachrisson, is a musician. As a musician, composer and producer, Johan Zachrisson is also known under the name of ZilverZurf (Zilverzurfarn) and João Sueco. Johan Zachrisson had been actived on Sweden music scene for more than 30 years. Johan Zachrisson currently mostly performed in Portugal.

Along with her older sister, Zara Lou and younger brother, Zacharias, Lykke Li spent her childhood years in Portugal, Morocco, Nepal and India. At age of 19 years old, the Swedish sensation pop star moved to New York for 3 months. When not touring, Lykke Li lives in the Södermalm district of Stockholm.

Youth Novels reached the third position in Lykke Li natal Sweden. The 14 songs of Youth Novels were wrote within 2 months, after ending a difficult relationship. The music video of "I'm Good, I'm Gone" had won the Music Video of the Week title on the US iTunes Store for the week of October 14, 2008. Lykke Li song "Dance, Dance, Dance" was featured as the Single of the Week on the French and Australian iTunes Stores on the same week. On May 6, 2008, Lykke Li album Youth Novels was released in the United States.

Her single "Possibility" (2009) is from the New Moon soundtrack. Youth Novels had been produced by Björn Yttling of Peter Bjorn and John and Lasse Mårtén. Lykke Li single "I'm Good, I'm Gone" was number 24 on Rolling Stone's list of the 100 Best Songs of 2008. In 2009, Lykke Li got nominated for the Best International Female at the 2009 Meteor Ireland Music Award. In 2009, Lykke Li won the Studio8's Female Voice of February. Lykke Li next album Wounded Rhymes should be released in 2011.
