Lauren Luke is a you-tube phenomenon. I first saw her applied her makeup on YouTube while I was doing a search on Lady Gaga. And there she was, that charming lady with an English accent, applying herself some makeup, to create the “Gaga look”. This is how I first find out about Lauren Luke.

The fantastic story of Lauren Luke

Lauren Luke is born on December 8, 1981 in Newcastle upon Tyne (England). Lauren has a son, Jordan. She got pregnant at the young of 17. Before posting on Youtube, she started selling makeup and brushes on Ebay.

She became famous after posting videos on YouTube under the pseudonym Panacea81. In each of her video, Lauren Luke shares her passion for makeup. She actually creates different looks on herself. While applying the makeup, she shares her best beauty tips. Her way is very interesting and it’s pleasant to listen to her. She’s also a specialist at re-creating star looks. My favorite one is her Lady Gaga transformation. Her YouTube videos had been seen by 40 million viewers. Lauren had been active on YouTube since July 22, 2007.

Lauren Luke was able to transform her hobby into a professional career. She’s now a professional makeup artist.

Lauren Luke professional career as a makeup artist

From late 2007 until the mid-2008, Lauren had been recruited by the cosmetics company Barry M to create exclusive makeup looks. In January 2009, she started writing a weekly beauty column for The Guardian. In February 2009, she launched her official website, ByLaurenLuke.com. On April 27, 2009, she launched her very own beauty product line called By Lauren Luke. The products can be purchased on her Web site (bylaurenluke.com). Five makeup kits are available: “My smokey classics”, “My luscious greens”, “My sultry blues”, “My fierce violets” and “My vintage glams”. Each kit has its very own YouTube video tutorial that can be watch on Lauren Web site or directly on YouTube. Just fantastic! Very soon, Lauren beauty kits will be available at Sephora.

And what’s next for Lauren?
