Jonathan Knight, from his birth name Jonathan Rashleigh Knight, is born on November 29, 1968 in Worcester, Massachusetts. His father is an Episcopal priest. The musical career of Jonathan Knight began while singing in a choir at the Episcopal church.

Among with Donnie Wahlberg, Danny Wood, Jordan Knight, and Joey McIntyre, Jonathan Knight is an original band members of the New Kids on the Block. Jonathan Knight is the older brother Jordan Knight. The New Kids on the Block has sell 80 million in album worldwide. During his teen years, Jonathan Knight dates pop singer Tiffany, another teen idol sensation.

Following 10 years of mega success with the New Kids on the Block (1984-1994), Jonathan Knight, the oldest of the New Kids, was the first member to leave the boy band. The New Kids on the Block did not continue without Jonathan Knight. After Jonathan Knight departure, the New Kids on the Block were official disbanding.

After the New Kids on the Block, Jonathan Knight lives a peaceful and quiet lives as a real estate developer in Essex, Massachusetts. For fans, it had seemed like Jonathan Knight had left his musical career behind. He rarely made public appearances or gave interviews. In 2000, Jonathan Knight gave a rare interview to Oprah. Jonathan Knight revealed that he has suffered from panic attacks since his early years in the New Kids on the Block. In a flashback, knowing the hysteria, thousands of fans to every show the band was giving, any sensible person would had suffered from panic attacks. Jonathan Knight had always been known as the most sensible of the New Kids. Years passed since his early years and Jonathan Knight now control his anxiety health problem.

The New Kids are back for good!

In April 2008, the members of New Kids on the Block, Donnie Wahlberg, Danny Wood, Jordan Knight, Joey McIntyre including Jonathan Knight, announced their reuniting. In May 2008, the New Kids on the Block released "Summertime". An album follow, the seventh after 14 years of silence, title The Block. In 2011, the New Kids on the Block will be touring with the Backstreet Boys.
