Retirement made easy with Ernie Zelinski, world class leisureologist
64I am 28 years old, I will be turning 29 by the end of August. But even there, I only have one thing in mind: early retirement. I enjoy my work as a prepaid agent among other things I do for a living but still, I don’t want to work forever. It’s the reason why I am preparing for retirement. While saving for retirement, among the way, as I am very curious, I learn a lot from great personalities like John Chow, Derek Foster, Timothy Sykes, and, even more recently, Ernie Zelinski. Just like John Chow and Derek Foster, Ernie Zelinski is another successful Canadian. He lives in Edmonton (Alberta).
Who’s Ernie Zelinski?
Ernie Zelinski is an author. He self-published his own books. He had sell over 600 000 copies of his books sell worldwide. Among his favorites topic, we find: early retirement, creativity and solo-entrepreneurship. His best sellers: Career Success Without a Real Job, How to Retire Happy, Wild and Free and The Joy of Not Working. Interesting! Many of his books had been published in China, Taiwan, France, Japan, Spain, Greece, South Korea, and Russia. In sort of way, Ernie Zelinski can be see as a retirement planning advisor.
Zelinski has an Engineering diploma, as well as a Masters in Business Administration from the University of Alberta. He work for an engineer for a little while but got fired because he was taking too much time off. Not because he was lazy, but because he’s a world class leisureologist. Zelinski claims he only work 3 to 4 hours per day. But I don’t think its true. He probably writes 3 to 4 hours a day and his projects might keep running on his mind the rest of the time. Anyway, after he got fired, Zelinski published his first book, The Art of Seeing Double in Business.
Interesting fact: Ernie Zelinski was able to obtain his engineering diploma without going to his classes and even more interesting, he had failed many many times his English courses. Very inspiring for bloggers like myself who keep writing in English despite the difficulties. Thing is: Ernie Zelinski makes comfortable living by writing books and also by promothing them himself. And not to forget that he also self-publish his books. Ernie Zelinski has a nice Web presence. He has his own Squidoo and HubPages pages. He also has several Web sites.
He made a successful career as a writer, but also as a professional speaker. In November 2009, he had spoke at the 17th annual convention of the National Turkish Society on Quality in Istanbul. Earnie had spoken to 2 000 executives, scholars and students. And just recently, Ernie Zelinski had won the Pride of HR Profession Award. He will probably speak at the World HRD Congress 2010, which is scheduled from 11th – 13th February, 2010 at Taj Lands End (India).
Congratulation to Ernie Zelinski!
