Diane von Furstenberg married Prince Egon of Furstenberg (1946-2004) in 1969. The couple had two children: Prince Alexander von Furstenberg and Princess Tatiana von Furstenberg. Tatiana von Furstenberg is a singer and filmmaker. Alexander von Furstenberg is the Chief Investment Officer of Arrow Capital Management and is the Director and Secretary of The Diller – von Furstenberg Family Foundation. The Diller – von Furstenberg Family Foundation provides philanthropic support to various non-profit organizations. The foundation had financially help organization such as Big Brothers / Big Sisters of America, Central Park Conservancy, Comfort Zone Camp, NYC Police Foundation and Andre Sobel River of Life Foundation, just to name a few. In 2001, Diane von Furstenberg married Barry Charles Diller, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of IAC/InterActiveCorp.

As a fashion innovator, Diane von Furstenberg had established the DVF Awards. The role of the award is to honor outstanding women leaders. The DVF Awards will be first attribute on March 1st, 2010. Fans of Diane von Furstenberg can vote for the woman who inspired them the most on DVF Web site.
