Hip-Hop MC Bad News Brown, from his birth name Paul Frappier, was born on May 8, 1977 in Haiti. Bad News Brown father was Haitian and his mother, Filipino.

At a young age, Bad News Brown was adopted by a Quebecois family that he left in his teenage years. Bad News Brown suffered from dyslexia. Bad News Brown developed his own innovative hip hop sound while playing harmonica on the street and in Montreal Metro stations to make a living. Bad News Brown described his style as being "Harmonic Hip-Hop" or "Electronic Triptronic Melodic Harmonics". Bad News Brown artist friends included Montreal rapper Misery.

Paul Frappier borrowed his stage name Bad News Brown to his childhood favourite WWF wrestler Allen Coage (1943-2007). Allen Coage ring names were Bad News Brown and Bad News Allen.

Bad News Brown was mixing his chief instrument, the harmonica with hop-hop beats. Bad News Brown was a well-known Montreal artist and his career was well engaged. In 2009, he had released his first album, Born 2 Sin. Born 2 Sin was released on iTunes July 28, 2009 and in stores on August 18, 2009. The album was distributed by Fontana North/Universal Music Canada

Bad News Brown had opened for well-known hip hop artists like Snoop Dogg, 50 Cent, Kanye West, Aerosmith, The Eagles, N.E.R.D., Soulja Boy, Ciara, Common, Lloyd Banks, Jadakiss, John Legend, Gym Class Heroes, Ice Cube, Booba and Sinik and accompanying on stage Nas, Ice T, Cypress Hill, De La Soul and Daniel Merriweather.

On February 12, 2011, Bad News Brown body had been found in the Petite-Bourgogne, a Sud-West neighborhood of Montreal near the Lachine Canal. Marks of violence had been found on Bad News Brown. Bad News Brown family declared that the rapper did not have any known enemies.

Bad News Brown was the father of a 2 year old son.
